Exploration is a bit of a buzz-word right now, and is a band-wagon East Khanid Trading very much wants to be on! As a result, we have an Exploration department which aims to get the most out of this aspect of EVE gameplay. As an Explorer in EKT, you will be encouraged to head out with other explorers and regularly map the systems near our stations. You will be provided with cheap (if not free) probes and probe launchers, and there is a system of rewards in place for improving your skills, as well as for finding hidden complexes and resources. Obviously, exactly how your discoveries are rewarded is related to the profit-making potential for other members. For example, if you find a hidden asteroid belt, you might get a certain percentage of all minerals mined from that belt. Or if you find a hidden complex, the loot gathered by the Faction Relations guys (or anyone else who tackles the complex in search of fortune) will be split in such a way that it includes you as a beneficiary. There are many more possibilities too, but essentially if you strike it lucky and let the corp participate in exploiting your find, you will be handsomely rewarded for it. It's very difficult to explain exactly what rewards you will get from your efforts, but needless to say you will be paid quickly, and paid a competitive price that makes it well worth your time and effort! Most of our members who are into Exploration are also mission runners in the Faction Relations department, but this is coincidence and not a requirement in order to make a valuable contribution in the Exploration department, nor to make a good income. If you are keen to get stuck in to Exploration with some like-minded, friendly and helpful pilots, then EKT could very well be the new home you've been looking for.
